The Ristorante di
Poggio Antico, located on the premises, is an integral part of the
estate of Poggio Antico. It was created with a careful and neat renovation of
some barns in one of the three family homesteads built over a century
ago. We upgraded and redecorated the facilities in 1990, so that
visitors to the estate can combine their cellar tour with a top culinary
experience at a fine restaurant, thereby enhancing their enjoyment of
our wines and their time at Poggio Antico. The benefits of the location are obvious, with
beautiful valley views right next door to the cellars of Poggio Antico,
which has earned a world-wide reputation after nearly three decades
producing consistently high quality wines. The restaurant is thus
ideally placed to draw from the large and increasing number of visitors
we have been welcoming every day with a smile and great pleasure since
the beginning of our operations. Because no member of our family is a professional
chef, an independent manager rents the restaurant from us, fully
furnished with top class equipment. This effectively makes the chef an
entrepreneur with all the incentives and authority to manage the
