From Rome: Follow signs for Civitavecchia and then for Grosseto. Exit at Grosseto following directions for Siena. From this route Statale 223 exit at Paganico. After Paganico, follow signs for Montalcino. You will drive by the village of Sant'Angelo in Colle on your right and before reaching Montalcino, the turn-off for Poggio Antico is on your left. There are stone walls on both sides of the road entrance to the property and signs on each side for Poggio Antico. The unpaved cypress-lined drive takes you straight to the estate. The trip takes approximately 2 ½ hours by car. From Florence: From the A1 highway Autostrada del Sole exit at Firenze Certosa and follow signs for Siena on the raccordo, a dual carriage highway that connects the two cities. Exit at Siena Sud and from there follow signs for Montalcino and Rome on the Cassia road (SR 2, former SS 2). You will pass a series of small hamlets and villages. After Buonconvento, follow signs for Montalcino on the right. When you arrive in Montalcino, follow the directions below (From Montalcino). The trip takes approximately 2 hours by car. From Siena: Take the Cassia road (SR 2, former SS 2) direction south and follow for Montalcino and Rome. There are a series of small hamlets and villages. After Buonconvento, follow signs for Montalcino on the right. When you arrive in Montalcino, follow the directions below (From Montalcino). The trip takes approximately 1 hour by car. From Montalcino: Arriving at the top of the hill in Montalcino the fortress is on your right and you will find yourself in an intersection. Take the road which is marked for Grosseto and after about 4.5 km, on your right, you will see the turn-off for Poggio Antico. There are stone walls on both sides of the road entrance to the property and signs on each side for Poggio Antico. The unpaved cypress-lined drive takes you straight to the estate.
